the n0. 1 man in my life

Yesterday, actually almost an hour ago we celebrated father’s day. That’s why this time I want to write something about my Daddy.

Let me introduce the number 1 man in my life, Fabian Alcachupas Jr…. my father. Responsible, loving, caring, understanding, patient, quiet, and the most WORKAHOLIC person I’ve known. He go to work Monday ‘til Sunday, He even go to work on holidays...workaholic indeed! Some may think that he may not have enough time for us, but no he always have. He may leave the house at around 6:30 in the morning or earlier but he’ll be back at home by 4:30 or 5:00 in the afternoon unless he will go overtime ‘til 12:00 midnight but that doesn’t happen all the time.

Now that he’s playing the role of a father and a mother to us, since my mother died 5yrs ago. I can say that everything happened for a good reason. Maybe God want us to have time to appreciate my Daddy, I’m not saying that I didn't appreciated Daddy before. I appreciated all the things he've done, but not as much as I appreciate him now. Before I am always with my mom, but when she died, I once ask myself “How will it be without her?” I was then shy with my dad, I can’t do the same thing as how my mom and I bond; talk, go to the market, watch T.V, in other word I am more close to my mom than my dad. But my dad made it sure that nothing will change, we will always be together, we will live together. Now, Daddy and I went to the market together, we went to the grocery together, everything went well, we gave each other strength; we supported each other, which made everything so easy for all of us.

Here’s my short message for him:

Dear Daddy:

I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for us, and for making me who I am right now. I am so blessed to have such a great daddy like you. I can’t even imagine living my life without you. You will always be the number 1 man in my life. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

With all the love in the world!

First impression

I just want to share this with you. This picture was one of my remembrances in my college years.

We had a first impression activity as what this picture shows; it happened last July 14, 2004 at the Drawing Room, Subject: NSTP. We were grouped, six students per group. I don’t really know who my group members were by that time. We’re not friends pa by then kasi start pa lang ng class. So, there our instructor asked us to stick a paper at each other’s back, then we started to write our first impression to one another and you will not know who’s writing at your back kasi bawal magsalita while writing and pinagkakaguluhan ng classmates while they were writing (ahh made me miss my college friends while typing this). I had fun during the activity we at least had the bonding moment. After writing at each other’s back you have to read what impression you’ve got in front of the class. Our instructor laugh so hard when I read the word “banal”, I even smiled when I read it. :) It makes me smiled not because it’s funny that he/she thought I’m banal, but the thought that do I look like a “manang girl?” kasi usually ganun ung first impression ko to those who look manang they look banal. Well anyway if thats what he/she thought the first time he/she saw me it doesn’t matter because I love living my life for Him. (There I’m banal nga!)

When I got this paper from my halo-halo things inside my closet, I laugh at first and eventually realized that I miss my college life not just college, my entire school life. I realized how fun it was, nonstop kwentuhan even if you saw each other almost every day, all those kulitan, trip, group project which I always end up doing it alone as if it’s an individual project. :) I miss everything about school, before all I want is to graduate and have a job, but now I have a job I want to go back to school which you don’t have to worry about something, you’re not responsible for anything but to pass all your subjects..

Well, aside of missing my school life one thing I’ve learned from the paper or the first impression activity we had was, whatever impression we got from anybody even it’s positive or negative, meaning nice or not let’s keep it as a way to improve ourselves, I’ve got a nice first impression, I’ll keep that so that by the time we meet again they can still say that I’m mabait or even more mabait. :)
